NBA to be dominated by young teams--Chicago Bulls will take it all

In the NBA this season, it is nearing the dawn of the Post Magic and Bird era. While Los Angeles and Boston just may have enough power left to challenge each other in yet another Championship Final matchup, the nineties will belong to young powerhouses like San Antonio, Phoenix, Portland, Chicago, and Cleveland.

Detroit has muscled to two straight championship victories in a row, but the city of Chicago is swarming with "Jordanmania" as the Bulls look to dethrone the Pistons in the East. Phoenix is a very talented and potent team that just might win the championship this year. Portland is yet another championship contender, as they proved against Detroit last June. The Spurs have Mr. Robinson and a supporting cast, and that's all they need to take it all the way.

Look for comebacks this year by Cleveland and Boston. The Cavs were ravaged by injuries and a bad trade last year (Ron Harper to L.A.), but they still have the guns to steal the division crown from Chicago and Detroit. Boston has aging veterans, but bench strength and youth in Dee Brown, Brian Shaw, and Reggie Lewis. In about a year, the Celtics will be ready to rejoin the championship contenders. However, Chicago will be the team to beat this year, so Detroit had best enjoy its' reign at the top, because their title is about to go to the Bulls.
