The 92nd Supply Squadron plays an important role in the overall mission of Team Fairchild.

"Our mission is to provide quality service and resources, anytime, anyplace," said 2nd Lt. Ryan Coyne, Combat Operations Support Flight commander. The wing's personnel, aircraft, and vehicles, are all supported by the 92nd SUPS. The squadron takes care of all the supply concerns for the base.

"Managing all these commodities is no easy task," says Coyne: "Anything on this base that's needed, supply has to be able to provide in a timely manner. If the items the customer needs is not on the shelf, supply will find that item using many different resources to fill the customer's request."

"For local purchase items, we work side-by-side with the 92nd Contracting Squadron to fulfill the customer's needs."

The 92nd SUPS is divided into five flights, each having different responsibilities, all in support of their base customers.

The Fuels Management Flight is responsible for all aircraft refueling and storage or fuel. They also ensure that the aircraft receive the best fuel available through testing and analysis of all fuel on base. Every day they are tasked with putting thousands of gallons of fuel onto KC-135 aircraft in support of the wing's mission.

The Combat Operations Support Flight is charged with supporting all Fairchild's KC-135 parts needs. "We work closely with the 92nd Maintenance Squadron in making sure the planes have the necessary parts to keep them fully mission capable," Coyne said. This flight often must locate parts worldwide and get them here as quickly as possible. "It's a challenge to maintain a necessary inventory of aircraft parts in a ever-changing environment of aircraft spare part needs," Coyne said.

The Materiel Management Flight's responsibilities include mobility weapons storage, issuing mobility bags for deploying personnel, individual equipment issue, stock control, and demand processing. The flight provides equipment to all base agencies, whether they're deploying in the middle of the night or receiving your initial cold weather gear.

The Management and Systems Flight personnel "are like our internal auditors," Coyne said. "They are our policemen, making sure everything is running correctly and in line with supply regulations." Other responsibilities include computer operations, training, quality and funds management.

The Materials, Storage and Distribution Flight receives, inspects, stores and delivers all requirements levied against supply.

The personnel of 92nd SUPS are tasked with a very demanding and important job. They are constantly "finding the goods for the customer in a timely manner," according to SMSgt Drue Mayhew, LGSC flight superintendent.

MSgt. James Graves, unit deployment manager for the 92nd SUPS, directs all deployable personnel through his office. His responsibilities include the upkeep of personnel records, shot records, dog tags, emergency/medical data, and chemical warfare training records. "We take care of mobility training and keep personnel folders," Graves said. When TDYs are available or required, Graves has the job of assigning people to leave home and perform the mission.

Coyne summed up the importance to the squadron to Team Fairchild when he said, "Without supply, we don't fly!"

Team Supply is proud to be part of Team Fairchild and like all of the squadrons on base, play a vital role in achieving AMC's global mission, he added.
